Former League of Ireland player Alan Keely has died at the age of 38.
The son of former player and manager Dermot Keely, Alan played for a number of teams in the league, including two spells with Shelbourne.
It is with the Dublin club, then under the management of his father, that Keely began his senior career in 2001.
He then attended university for one year in California before returning to Ireland to play for Kildare County.
Stints at Dublin City and Finn Harps followed before Keely rejoined Dublin FC where his father had taken over as manager.

When the club ceased trading, Keely joined Waterford United for a season before joining Shelbourne again, spending three years at the club.
After his League of Ireland career ended, he lined out for Malahide United.
Shelbourne said today: "It is with deep sadness we have heard of the passing of our former player Alan Keely, son of Dermot.
"Everyone at Shelbourne sends their condolences and deepest sympathies to Dermot and family. May he rest in peace."
Finn Harps wrote: "All at Finn Harps F.C. are greatly saddened to learn of the sudden death of former player Alan Keely today.
"Alan joined Harps in 2004 from Dublin City and played on the team that won the First Division title that season. He is also the son of our former manager Dermot Keely."
