Former Kilmarnock defender Jamie Hamill is the youngest boss in the SPFL after taking his first steps in management with Stranraer.
The 34-year-old from Irvine was appointed to the top job at Stair Park after previous manager Stevie Farrell switched to League One Dumbarton.
He is now the youngest gaffer among all 42 SPFL clubs, beating Kelty Hearts' rookie boss Kevin Thomson, Dundee's James McPake and Forfar Athletic's Gary Irvine, who are all 36.
Hamill – who has played more than 400 games during a playing career spanning almost two decades and spent two seasons with Killie – will face his ex-club in the group stages of the Premier Sports League Cup next month.
And he will be assisted by Darryl Duffy and Scott Robertson although he is unlikely to be playing many more games as he focuses on life in the dugout.

Hamill has been with the League Two club for four years and they missed out on promotion last season after losing out to Dumbarton in the play-off semi-finals. He will take charge of Stranraer for the first time in a pre-season friendly at Cumnock on Saturday, June 19.
"I am absolutely buzzing," Hamill told superiorsportsmanagement.com in an interview. "I’ve been so excited, it is a new challenge, a different challenge because I am going to be solely the manager so I think the boots will be hung up for the foreseeable.
"I think it would be unfair on the players for me to be playing on a Saturday and still be trying to manage them so I think it’s one or the other for me.
"I'd like to thank everyone at the club for giving me this massive opportunity.
"It is a massive step up for myself getting into my first managerial role and I think everybody’s definitely behind me so it’s one I’m certainly looking forward too."
