Former Kilmarnock kid injury blow after non-league Wishaw switch fresh start

Wishaw boss Mark Daly has revealed new signing Will Graham faces a length injury lay-off after a disappointing defeat to Neilston.

Kieran Campbell had given The Beltane side the lead, however a Conor Bolger hat-trick and Adam Forde strike saw the home side claim three West of Scotland League points.

Stephen McDonald also saw red for Wishaw in the first half.

Gaffer Daly admits it was a tough afternoon for the side - which was topped off by former Kilmarnock and Albion Rovers midfielder Graham facing up to eight weeks on the sidelines.

He told Lanarkshire Live Sport : "It was never a 4-1 game. We had played really well and got ourselves in front, but their equaliser was a cracking free-kick.

"We lost a player to a dubious red card and it was backs to the wall from that point. We still played well, but you are trying to hold out.

"Once they got their second we were chasing the game, and they score two goals in the last three minutes. We feel very hard done by to be honest, but they are a very good team.

"We lost Will to a dislocated knee cap as well. Thankfully there is no ligament damage, and that was a big blow as well.

"Will was just starting to properly get back up to speed so he's going to be a big, big miss for us.

"The physio has seen him but the latest I've heard is he will be out for between six and eight weeks.

"It's a real shame for him but he's a top, top player and he'll be a big player for us when he comes back after Christmas."
