Former Kilmarnock goalkeeper commits future to East Kilbride

Conor Brennan has committed his future to East Kilbride by signing a new one-year contract.

The experienced goalkeeper will be an important part of Stevie Aitken's squad as they mount a Lowland League title bid next season.

The 27 year-old was excellent for Kilby last season until their season was halted due to the pandemic in January.

Former Kilmarnock and Dumbarton stopper Brennan only conceded six goals in East Kilbride's twelve games last season and he will be aiming to replicate that form next season.

Brennan also works as a goalkeeping coach with Rangers under-18's side and that's allowed him to maintain his sharpness while football has been suspended outside the SPFL.

The Irishman will face his former club Kilmarnock in East Kilbride's first competitive game of the 2021/22 season as they've been drawn together in the Premier Sports Cup group stages.

EK boss Aitken has been busy bolstering his squad ahead of next season with Gregg Wylde, Neil McLaughlin, Joao Victoria and Cammy Elliott all joining the club last week.
