Former Kilmarnock goalkeeper Cammy Bell leaves Partick Thistle by 'mutual consent'

Former Kilmarnock goalkeeper Cammy Bell has left Championship side Partick Thistle.

The ex-Rugby Park shot stopper’s deal at Firhill ran until summer 2020 but talks have taken place and it’s been decided he will move on.

He was loaned out to St Johnstone for the second half of last term and served as backup to Zander Clark.

He made 115 appearances at Rugby Park and he was a hero in the 2012 League Cup as he kept a clean sheet in all four matches, including a shutout against Celtic in the final.

A Partick Thistle statement said: "Partick Thistle Football Club can confirm that Cammy Bell has left the Club by mutual consent.

"Everyone at Thistle wishes Cammy all the very best for the future."
