Former Kerry star Kieran Donaghy reportedly set for Armagh coaching role

Kieran Donaghy will reportedly join Armagh's backroom staff next year.

The Irish News report that the former Kerry star will be part of Kieran McGeeney’s coaching ticket.

Donaghy retired from inter-county football in 2018 and had a spell last year as the joint-manager of IT Tralee.

The 38-year-old has been working as a pundit on Sky Sport's coverage of the football championship this term.

He would be joining an Armagh side playing Division 1 football in 2021 after gaining promotion from the second tier.

They were knocked out of this year's Ulster Championship by Donegal in the semi-finals.

Donaghy, also a basketball player in the Irish Super League, continues to play football with his club Austin Stacks.
