RANCHI/DHANBAD: Former CM Raghubar Das on Thursday said chief minister Hemant Soren must "initiate an inquiry to probe the assets of his father Shibu Soren, whose property rose by 300% between the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the 2021 Rajya Sabha elections".
BJP's national vice-president Raghubar Das on Thursday said chief minister Hemant Soren must "initiate an inquiry to probe the assets of his father Shibu Soren, whose property rose by 300% between the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and the 2021 Rajya Sabha elections". The former CM made the remark while reacting to the state government's ACB inquiry against five ministers of his cabinet.
Criticising the Soren government, Das alleged it failed to deliver on its promise of safeguarding Jharkhand's 'Jal, Jangal and Zameen'. "The 800MW power generation unit of Patratu superthermal power plant could not start this year and the Tandwa power project failed to get forest clearance due to the indifferent attitude of the government," he claimed.
Refuting the allegation of protecting arrested IAS officer Pooja Singhal, Das said the department inquiry might not have found anything incriminating but the criminal investigation going on since his tenure yielded results.
