Former Jets QB Joe Flacco signing with Eagles

Joe Flacco has found a new home.

The former Jets backup quarterback and South Jersey native is signing with the Eagles, according to his agency.

Flacco agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million deal that has a chance to reach $4 million with incentives, according to NFL reporter Adam Caplan. After a season with the Jets, Flacco was able to more than double his salary of $1.5 million from the season prior.

Playing in five games for New York, Flacco completed 55.2% of his passes, throwing for 864 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions. He recorded an 0-4 record when stepping in as the starter for an injured Sam Darnold last season.

With Flacco now the presumed backup for Eagles starter Jalen Hurts, the Jets will be in the market for a veteran backup. whether it be for Darnold or a rookie under center.
