Former Jaguars coach Doug Marrone didn't have a long wait to find his next coaching job.
He is joining Nick Saban's staff at Alabama to become their offensive line coach, according to multiple reports Wednesday.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan fired Marrone on Jan. 4 after finishing the season with a franchise-worst 1-15 record.
Marrone lost 21 of his last 24 games, including going 12-36, since he led the Jaguars to the AFC championship game during the 2017 season.
At Alabama, Marrone is replacing Kyle Flood left to join Steve Sarkisian's staff at the University of Texas. Sarkisian had spent the past two seasons as Saban's offensive coordinator.
Marrone's best friend, Bill O' Brien, was hired by Saban last week to become the Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator.
Saban led Alabama to their sixth national championship in 12 years following their 52-24 win over Ohio State in the College Football Playoff National Championship game on Jan.12
