Former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Blair Brown was arrested Wednesday evening in Jacksonville after an incident that resulted in a domestic battery charge. Per the Florida Times-Union, he was booked around 5:30 p.m., but details are scarce aside from the fact that he’ll have to appear in court Thursday morning.
Brown, 25, was selected by the Jags in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He appeared in 28 games with the team, including two starts at the weakside position, but was released earlier this month prior to rookie minicamp.
With Telvin Smith announcing that he wouldn’t be playing football this year, the release of Brown earlier was one that seemed abrupt, so it’s possible the Jags knew about his incident beforehand. We’ll monitor his situation as more details could come out after his court appearance.
