Former Ireland and Leinster rugby star Luke Fitzgerald is engaged to long-term girlfriend Aisling Burke.
The former winger got down on one knee in the stunning surrounds of Adare Manor in Co Limerick over the weekend.
The 31-year-old Wicklow man joked that it was the best day of his life because he got engaged, as well as playing on the iconic Adare Manor golf course - which is due to host the Ryder Cup.
His friends, family and former teammates were quick to shares messages of congratulations and support after he announced the news on Instagram, RSVP Live reports.
Simon Zebo said: "Yessss brother- congrats to ye both."
Ignoring the ring and focusing on the golf, former Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll joked: "What a brilliant track it is.."
Leinster's Fergus McFadden added: "Unreal McMateso, congrats guys." While Brian Ormond simply said: "Congratulations".
Adare Manor is no stranger to big a-list celebrations. Last summer, Ireland soccer star Robbie Brady married Kerrie Harris in a celeb filled wedding at the 5* venue. His Ireland teammates John O'Shea and Shane Long were some of the big name guests as was model and former I'm a Celebrity ... Get me out of Here! star Nadia Forde.
Claudine Keane 's brother, Ronan Palmer, also tied the knot there in front close friends and family earlier this summer.
Fitzgerald earned his first cap for Ireland back in November 2006. However, he was forced into his retirement from professional rugby ten years later after a neck injury in the 2016 Pro12 Final.
Luke previously dated Nadia Forde player for three years before officially breaking up in May 2012.
Following the break up, she said: "We were together for a couple of years, but it ended badly. I definitely don’t want to talk about him."
