Former Ireland rugby star Fergus Slattery is selling his Glenageary home for €1.1m

Irish rugby legend Fergus Slattery has entered the property scrum after putting his gorgeous South Dublin home on the market for a whopping €1.1 million.

The former Ireland player and his wife Margot bought the detached Glenageary bungalow in 1990 and have done major renovations on it since then.

These include installing French windows in downstairs rooms to the rear opening into the garden and upgrading the kitchen.

The three-bedroom 143 square metre property sits on one-third of an acre and boasts a fabulous long, manicured garden.

The plush interior is crammed with period furniture, paintings, mirrors, photographs, bespoke curtains and wallpaper, the Irish Times reports.

Apart from the stunning garden, highlights include the bright, L-shaped family room cum kitchen with open cream dressers, a window seat, tongue-and-groove timber ceiling and open fireplace.

There's also an amazing family bathroom with its own oval clawfoot bath and shower.
