A former Hunter tennis coach charged with alleged historic indecent assault will face court again in November, after the matter was mentioned for the first time on Wednesday.
Todd Ramsey Woods was charged with three counts of inciting aggravated indecency victim under 16 and under authority, two counts of inciting aggravated indecency victim over 16 and under authority and one count of indecent assault on July 30 following a three-year investigation by Hunter Valley detectives.
As the Newcastle Herald reported on Tuesday, police will allege the well-known East Maitland tennis coach committed multiple offences against a teenager he was instructing in the late 1990s and early 2000s - when the girl was aged between 13 and 17.
Police said this week that detectives began investigating the allegations in June, 2017.
The 57-year-old did not personally appear in Maitland Local Court when the matter was mentioned on Wednesday, with the prosecution asking for an eight-week adjournment.
The matter will be mentioned again on November 4.
