Former HQ of Team GB uniform supplier handed £5.5m price tag

The former headquarters of a company that supplies Team GB with their formal uniforms for the Olympic Games has been put on the market for £5.5m.

The 110,492 sq ft building had been used by Simon Jersey and is located on Sykeside Drive, Altham Business Park, Accrington.

It is being marketing by Taylor Weaver, according to the Rightmove listing.

Other occupiers on the estate include North West Logistics, Piolax, BNP Europe, Senator International and Stolle EMS.

Simon Jersey is now headquartered in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport, and also makes uniforms for the likes of Pets at Home, Ladbrokes and the NHS.

The company had been based in Altham since it was founded until 2019.

In 2021, the company supplied the official formalwear to Team GB for its third consecutive Olympic Games.

The business, which was founded in 1971, manufactures more than two million garments under the Simon Jersey brand every year.

Simon Jersey was acquired in 2014 by David Ross, who founded Carphone Warehouse with Charles Dunstone and Guy Johnson.
