Former home of legendary music shop is back in use

A new business has opened in a vacant Mansfield Road premises and it couldn't be any different from its former use.

Mary Bridget’s Beauty, named after its owner's grandmother, has moved into the old Dave Mann Music building - and after quite the false start the salon is preparing to relaunch in style next month.

Owner Reanna Cotterill opened her doors to customers on March 22, just one day before PM Boris Johnson initiated a country-wide lockdown.

Now after nearly four months the salon is gearing up to reopen with a bang.

On Saturday, August 1 the doors will open to the public for the first time since lockdown with Reanna offering goody bags, including discounted services and free gifts from Doughnotts, Prickly Pear, Luna Collective and Scent By Leanne among others.

Dave Mann Music closed last year following the death of its founder, whom the shop was named after, in 2017.
