Former Home Bargains worker reveals how to get items for 1p

Anyone who's shopped at Home Bargains will know it's an absolute goldmine for exciting products at affordable prices.

From Mrs Hinch's favourite cleaning products, to Yankee candle dupes and branded make-up, you'd be hard-pressed to leave the store without finding a bargain that floats your boat.

But according to one ex-employee, the store sometimes discounts things to as little as 1p.

Grace Payne worked at Home Bargains for two years, and says that you can sometimes get items for 1p if you know how.

She told Fabulous: "If stock has been in the shop for a while it will often get discounted because they might be trying to discontinue it.

"So it is sometimes worth waiting to see if something has the price knocked down - you could even get it for a penny."

This is when the big supermarkets reduce food prices

Grace continued to explain that you can also ask for discounts if you spot faulty items.

She said: "If you think something isn’t up to scratch tell the manager - they’ll take you seriously and often offer a discount."

It's important to note that discounts are not guaranteed, and will always be at the manager's discretion. But don't ask, don't get, right?!
