Former Hibs midfielder Stephane Omeonga bids Genoa farewell – and Hibees all say the same thing

Stephane Omeonga has bid Italian side Genoa farewell – and it's set tongues wagging among the Hibs support.

The Belgian midfielder was contracted to the club until next summer, but appears to be on the move if his latest message is anything to go by.

The 24-year-old enjoyed two loan spells at Hibs, and was particularly impressive first time around a couple of seasons ago.

Announcing his departure, he wrote on Twitter: “The value of things is not in the duration, but in the intensity in which they happen.

“Thank you for what you have given me, I can never forget.

“This square is something special. Goodbye and good luck.”

The message got Hibs fans talking, and most were saying the same thing.
