Former Hearts striker Kyle Lafferty on the move again and set for Romanian switch

Former Hearts striker Kyle Lafferty is set for a shock move to Romania.

The Northern Ireland international left Serie A outfit Reggina after moving to Italy in the summer.

With Robbie Neilson looking a striker in January, fans raised the question of Lafferty returning to Tynecastle.

The striker has previously spoken of his desire to return to the club after enjoying a successful 2017/18 season in maroon.

But that was a non-starter even before Hearts signed Frenchman Armand Gnanduillet.

And now he looks set to head to the continent to sign for Romanian outfit Sepsi.

Prosport claim the 33-year-old has agreed terms with the Liga 1 side, who sit fourth in the table.

Lafferty has now had stints abroad with the likes of Palermo, Sion, Caykur Rizespor and Sarpsborg.

As well as Hearts and Rangers, the front man has played for Burnley, Birmingham and Sunderland on these shores.
