Sean Slaven is looking to earn himself a deal at East Kilbride after being released by Championship outfit Hamilton Accies.
The 20-year-old has been training with Kilby and boss Stevie Aitken admits he will take one last look at him during Saturday’s friendly with Partick Thistle before making a decision on the player, who also had SPFL experience with Brechin City before their relegation to the Highland League last season.
Slaven featured in the second half of last Saturday’s 3-2 friendly defeat to Beith and was set to get another run out on Tuesday night, but their clash with Tranent was cancelled after a Covid breakout in the East Lothian side’s squad.
Aitken added: “Sean has been training with us and playing in games.

“He’s someone we’re looking at and he’s done well, so we’ll make a decision at some point this week, we’ll sit down and see where we are.
“He would have played against Tranent and he will play against Partick on Saturday to get another look at him.
"But he’s put himself in a good position so far.”
Saturday’s clash with Partick is a 2pm kick-off at K-Park.
