Former Hamilton fan favourite Tony Andreu has joined Accies' relegation rivals Ross County until the end of the season.
The Frenchman has been without a club since departing St Mirren in the summer and John Hughes has acted quickly to add Andreu to his County squad.
Andreu joined Hamilton in 2013 and was instrumental in helping Accies achieve promotion from the Championship including a memorable first-half hat trick against Morton on the final day of the regular season.
In the vital play-off second leg against Hibernian, Andreu scored a famous late goal to level the tie on aggregate before scoring in the penalty shoot-out win that secured Accies' promotion.
Although he's not played since last season, some Accies fans would have loved to see the enigmatic midfielder join Brian Rice's side.
Meanwhile, Staggies boss Hughes - who first brought Andreu to Scotland with Livingston - is delighted to add the experienced forward to his side and hopes the former St Mirren man can add 'quality'.
Hughes said: “We are delighted to add Tony to the group. Tony has good experience in the Scottish Premiership and will certainly add that experience to the team.
"Over his time in the game, Tony has shown on many occasions how important a part he can play in teams.
Disappointing as wouldve certainly added some more depth to our squad and could’ve only been a positive addition. Not nice when you see players like tony sign for league rivals but I suppose not everything is always as sentimental as it seems.
