Former Gogglebox star confesses she's ready to give up on Line of Duty

It's all got a bit too much for some Line of Duty fans with Retford celebrity vicar Kate Bottley saying she actually wants to 'give up' on the show.

It comes after an intense new episode of the sixth series aired last night, with shocking scenes of more police corruption and hints at every turn to keep audiences guessing.

Across social media, viewers were pointing out the various links to previous episodes and questioning every glance and symbol as a potential clue.

Keeping up with it all is no easy task, even for other television personalities.

Former Gogglebox star, rev Kate Bottley tweeted: "Look, I don’t want you to think anymore badly of me than you already do, but I’m thinking about giving up on #LineofDuty I thought you should know."

Many replied they also felt the strain of trying to follow the show's weaving storyline.

"My husband and I watch each episode twice just incase we have missed something and it is surprising how much we do," wrote one.

Another wrote: "Yes! Thank you. All the acronymns and teeny details you needed to remember from previous series were doing my head in."

But some were still trying to encourage viewers to stick with it.

"Don’t give up ! The BBC One announcer due to be on duty on Sunday has seen the next episode and reckons it’s the best yet."
