Former Giants react after CBA passes with mixed vote

NFL players voted to approve ratification to the collective bargaining agreement on Sunday, setting up labor peace for the next decade.

As part of the incoming changes, the NFL will now have a 17-game regular season and a three-game preseason beginning in 2021, a new playoff format with two additional teams in 2020 and more money will go to the players over time.

However, there was a clear line in the sand between players who wanted to approve the proposed CBA and those who didn’t, which was reflected in the 1,019-959 vote tally.

Worse yet? Nearly 500 players didn’t bother to vote at all.
