Former Giants Kerry Wynn, B.W. Webb impressing onlookers at Bengals OTAs

So far, it sounds like the Cincinanti Bengals got a few hits in free agency with former New York Giants players like Kerry Wynn and B.W. Webb.

The Bengals dipped into outside free agency for both guys at not only areas of need, but areas of comfort as Lou Anarumo was familiar with both thanks to their time together in New York.

Speaking on Dan Hoard’s Bengals Booth Podcast, Dave Lapham said he liked what he saw from Webb: “I was impressed with Webb. I thought Webb made plays at that spot in the nickel. Obviously, Lou is very familiar with him, coached him with the New York Giants, brought him here for a reason and he showed up. I mean he made some plays.”

Wynn also got a shoutout for working on the edge in a rotation with Sam Hubbard and others.

These were two of the signings the Bengals made that really opened up the draft for them. Wynn is an effective rotational player to boost the pass rush and Webb was a good slot candidate before Darqueze Dennard returned (he had a knee scope so Webb is getting a big audition right now).

From the sounds of it, both former Giants are helping keep the tempo right and spurring a culture change as well based on their approach.

If this continues well into the summer, fans can expect to see plenty of both during the regular season.
