Former Georgia football quarterback finds new landing spot

The Georgia Bulldogs have had quite the success at quarterback of late with Jake Fromm, Matthew Stafford and Aaron Murray. Two former five-star quarterbacks transferred out of Athens, thanks to the competitiveness of the position.

With Stafford being one of the richest quarterbacks in the NFL and three Power 5 quarterbacks starting for or having gone through Georgia, it’s fitting that another Dawg has found a new home.

Murray, the former Bulldog great and Atlanta Legends quarterback, was assigned to the Tampa Bay Vipers before Monday night’s XFL Draft.

While at Georgia, Murray set the SEC record for passing touchdowns, a Bulldog record fo passing yards, and came within 5 yards of playing for a national championship.

The Tampa native had a 62.3% completion percentage at Georgia and 13,166 career passing yards with 121 total touchdowns.

Now, Bulldog fans can enjoy watching one of their favorite Dawgs once more.
