Former Georgia Bulldog QB Matthew Stafford sets NFL record

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford became the quickest player in NFL history to pass for 40,000 career yards. Stafford, the former Georgia Bulldog, set the mark in today’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

It has taken Matthew Stafford 147 career games to reach the 40,000 yard status. That’s an average of over 270 passing yards per game. Not too shabby. Stafford has already thrown for over 100 yards in the first quarter today. Stafford reached the mark on this pass:
