Former Fade Street star and model Emily MacKeogh has been left “devastated” after her fiance of two months collapsed and died in Dubai.
A close friend of Emily’s confirmed to the Irish Mirror today that Killian Roche passed away suddenly in the lobby of a hotel on Saturday.
The tragedy happened just days after the couple had moved to the country to start a new life.
“Killian died on Saturday,” the source revealed.
“Emily is absolutely devastated. We are hearing it was either sudden adult death syndrome or a heart attack but the autopsy is being carried out.
“Killian wasn’t unwell, there was nothing wrong with him, it’s such a tragedy.”
It is understood the Dublin couple had moved to Dubai last week.
Just last February, model and jewellery designer Emily, who is signed to AR Agency, revealed that Killian had asked her to marry him while they were in Zürich, Switzerland.
In an Instagram post showing off her gorgeous solitaire diamond engagement ring, she said: “My best friend asked me to marry him tonight and I said YES!”
Killian broke the news on his Facebook page with a similar photo of the pair kissing, he said: Today Emily Mackeogh made me the happiest I’ve ever been. Thank you so much and I’m so happy you said yes.”
Former Assets model MacKeogh, 32, who runs Roxluna and Crystal and Co jewellery, shot to fame as a new addition to the second series of RTE’s Fade Street in 2012 alongside Roz Purcell and Vogue Williams.
The leggy brunette also appeared in TV3’s Catwalk to Kilimanjaro, where she teamed up again with Roz Purcell, Daniella Moyles and Lynn Kelly to raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation.
In 2013, Emily made headlines when she claimed she was attacked by a stiletto-wielding thug because she was too good-looking.
