Former Everton talent searching for transfer on LinkedIn

Former Everton prodigy Jose Baxter is advertising his services as a free agent on networking website LinkedIn.

Baxter, 27, remains the club's youngest-ever appearance maker after featuring under David Moyes against Blackburn Rovers in 2008.

The forward joined Plymouth Argyle on a short-team deal in the summer but is now searching for a fresh challenge after his contract was mutually terminated.

"Because of a recurring calf injury I have suffered this season, it seemed sensible to come to an agreement with the club," Baxter said.

"I am very grateful for everyone associated with Argyle for welcoming me with open arms. My stay has been short, but memorable."

On LinkedIn, a professional networking website, Baxter wrote: "Aged 27. Can play number 10, number 9, number 8, number 6.

"Experience in under-16, under-17 football. Premier League, Europa League, League One, League Two. On a free in January and open to offers abroad. Message me if interested."

Baxter returned to Everton in 2017 and signed a 12-month deal. He earned a move to Oldham Athletic at the expiration of his contract at Goodison Park.
