Former Everton player Ademola Lookman sends emotional message after completing move to RB Leipzig

It was announced on Thursday Ademola Lookman would be leaving Everton to join RB Leipzig.

The winger signed a five-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit and the Blues are set to receive a fee in the region of £22.5million.

Lookman, who arrived at Goodison Park in 2017 from Charlton, shared an emotional thank you message on Instagram after his departure.

The England Under-21 international wrote: "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my team mates at Everton Football Club for all the love and unwavering support you’ve shown me over the past two and a half years.

"I’ve made some great friends at Everton who have made my experience at the club truly an unforgettable one.

"Whilst I’m excited to move forward with the new opportunities ahead of me, I’m going to miss my team mates and everyone associated with the club.

"Last but not least I would like to thank the fans for their support during my time at Everton, I am truly honoured to have had the opportunity to play for you. All the best for the future, Love AL31".

The 21-year-old returns to Germany following a successful loan spell at Leipzig in the final months of the 2017/18 season.

Lookman featured 48 times in total for Everton, scoring on four occasions.
