Former Everton youth right-back Pawel Zuk and ex-Scunthorpe United striker Kevin van Veen are among several signing targets for Motherwell.
Twenty-year-old Zuk - who started his career at Goodison Park - was involved in the Steelmen's 1-0 defeat to Dumbarton at the weekend, where former Rangers midfielder Jamie Ness was also a trialist for Graham Alexander's side.
And the Polish kid will hope to do enough over the coming days to earn a move to the Fir Park side, who are set to arrange another friendly for this Saturday and have a home game with English Championship side Millwall scheduled for July 10.
Dutch striker and former Scunthorpe United man van Veen - who worked with Alexander at the Iron and has been heavily linked with a move to Lanarkshire for weeks - also featured for the Steelmen and a deal to secure his services is believed to be close.
Motherwell utilised 24 players during the Dumbarton clash as gaffer Graham Alexander ran the rule over several possible options for the new campaign.
Within the squad were a number of players from down south, including Welsh international goalkeeper Tom King, Irish defender Darragh O'Connor and midfielder Joe Muscatt.
Motherwell have made three new signings so far with striker Connor Shields from Queen of the South, former Tranmere striker Kaiyne Woolery and ex-Maidstone United winger Justin Amaluzor all joining up over the summer.
