Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan's attempt to 'wind up' Everton fans backfires massively

Everton fans aren't happy with Michael Vaughan after the former cricketer's most recent comments on social media.

The ex-England skipper believes Blues' fans are easy to "wind up".

Vaughan wrote on Twitter: "It's official ... Everton fans are the easiest to wind up ... #JustSaying".

Vaughan's latest comments come following his defence of Sam Allardyce, following the ex-Blues manager's dismissal from Goodison Park.

The Sheffield Wednesday fan angered Evertonians with his pro-Allardyce comments.

As at the time Vaughan admitted: "Be careful what you wish for Everton FC ...... You had someone who has just got you to 8th in the Premier league and you Sack him!!!!!!!!!!"

And now the 44-year-old's latest post has quickly backfired.

The Yorkshireman has been inundated with responses from Toffees' supporters.

How has the defender Everton missed out on last summer fared this season?

One fan simply wrote: "Stick to cricket".

While another Twitter user replied: "Oh come on, you know it wasn’t a wind up! You genuinely believed we should have kept Allardyce. Just admit you were wrong."
