All four key members of England's 2015 World Cup coaching ticket will have important coaching positions in Ireland after the Joe Schmidt era ends.
The IRFU are to confirm next week that Ireland head coach in waiting Andy Farrell has added attack coach Mike Catt to his management team that will take over the reins following the World Cup in Japan.
Former England full-back Catt, who made 75 Test appearances, will leave his role with Conor O'Shea's Italy for the post, having previously worked with London Irish prior to joining Stuart Lancaster's England set-up.
Simon Easterby and Richie Murphy will provide continuity, along with Farrell, in the Ireland set-up, with John Fogarty joining from Leinster as scrum coach ahead of Greg Feek’s departure.
Farrell has worked with Schmidt as defence coach since he was let go by England in the wake of the World Cup while Lancaster has enjoyed three successful seasons as Leinster senior coach.
Graham Rowntree, who was England's forward coach for the ill-fated last World Cup, recently joined Munster.
