Former Eagles RB Jay Ajayi set to work out for the Lions

The Detroit Lions need depth at running back and one former Eagles star could finally land on a roster looking to make a playoff run. According to Adam Schefter, the Detroit Lions are set to work out former Eagles running back, Jay Ajayi.

The Lions are down two running backs with Tra Carson and starter, Kerryon Johnson both nursing lower-body injuries. Johnson, the Lions best runner, is on injured reserve and out until at least week 15 with a knee injury.

Ajayi missed most of the 2018 season, playing just four games for the Eagles after suffering a torn ACL tear. Ajayi had 592 yards on 105 carries and four touchdowns in 11 games with the Eagles.
