Former Eagles’ OG Stefen Wisniewski retiring from NFL to become a Pastor

Former Eagles starting offensive tackle Stefen Wisniewski is announcing his retirement from the NFL to start a career of services.

The former Nittany Lions star will now become a pastor as he prepares for the next step in his career.

Drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Penn State, Wisniewski has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

After signing a one-year deal in 2016, Wisniewski played in 14 games and started 11 in the 2017 NFL season. Philadelphia went 13–3 and defeated the New England Patriots 41–33 to win their first Super Bowl.
