Another former Eagle has landed in a new home, as Adam Caplan is reporting that pass rusher Genard Avery will sign with the Steelers.
Philadelphia acquired Avery from the Browns and immediately converted him to a pass rushing defensive end during the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
In 2021, Jonathan Gannon converted Avery back to his natural SAM linebacker spot, but the results were underwhelming.
Avery also had one of the worst missed tackle rates among players at his position, according to Pro Football Focus.
