We all love a name check but when one Nottinghamshire firm got a shout out from retail entrepreneur Theo Paphitis it really changed its fortunes.
Back in March last year, Laura Young, owner of Newark-based Lexico, tweeted Theo about her business during ‘Small Business Sunday’.
She was one of six weekly winners to gain a re-tweet to the businessman's 500,000 Twitter followers.
As a result of the re-tweet by the self-confessed shopkeeper, Laura has received more followers and extra orders for her range of handmade jewellery.
Laura said: "It’s been an exciting year in business since winning. It really does boost your profile.
"It is great to have support from Theo because it’s hard trying to raise your profile. Theo has recognised my hard work and helped spread the word about what I do."
The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 2,500 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.

Laura attended the annual event in Birmingham on Friday 28th February 2020, where she got to meet Theo to personally receive her award from him.
