Former Dolphins receiver Chris Hogan signs with Carolina

Former Dolphins receiver Chris Hogan has just missed a clean sweep of the AFC East! Hogan — who spent time with San Francisco, the New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins before splitting the last seven seasons between Buffalo and New England — has signed with the Carolina Panthers.

Hogan never logged regular season snaps with the Dolphins. But he did gain the nickname “7-11” with the team during their run on HBO’s Hard Knocks in 2012 before going on to have himself a nice career. He’s won two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and logged 194 receptions and 18 touchdowns during his seven years of active playing time in the pros.

In Carolina, Hogan is poised to be the team’s fourth or fifth option in the passing game behind WR D.J. Moore, TE Greg Olsen, RB Christian McCaffrey and WR Curtis Samuel.
