Former Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill ‘ready to get to work’ with Titans in 2019

Outside linebacker Cameron Wake isn’t the only notable player the Tennessee Titans have acquired that spent last season with the Miami Dolphins.

On Friday afternoon, the Titans acquired quarterback Ryan Tannehill from the Dolphins in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2019 draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2020 draft.

Tannehill took to Twitter shortly after the announcement, saying he was “ready to get to work” in Nashville.

“To the Titans fans, I couldn’t be more excited to get to work! Always hear such great things about Nashville and cant wait to be a part of what the organization is building…let’s go!!! #TitanUp.”

Tannehill will essentially serve as insurance for starting quarterback Marcus Mariota, as it’s already been established he will serve as the backup.
“I talked to Ryan … and he understands that he is coming in as the back-up quarterback,” Robinson said. “I’ve talked to Marcus and told Marcus he is our starting quarterback. Ryan is here to help Marcus, to push Marcus, to compete with Marcus.”
