Former Disney Channel star Bridgit Mendler recently made headlines by announcing her latest career ventures. Mendler shared the exciting news of adopting her first child, a 4-year-old boy, after starting the fostering process in 2021 and finalizing the adoption around Christmas of 2022. Expressing her joy, Mendler emphasized that being a parent is a profound and rewarding experience.

In addition to her new role as a mother, Mendler revealed her role as the CEO and co-founder of a satellite data startup company named Northwood Space. The company aims to establish a data highway connecting Earth and space by developing innovative ground infrastructure to enhance space accessibility. Mendler invited individuals passionate about impactful work to join the Northwood team.

Following her successful stint on the Disney Channel series 'Good Luck Charlie,' Mendler took a hiatus to focus on her education. She was later recognized as one of the MIT Media Lab's Director's Fellows in 2017 and pursued a graduate program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a focus on enhancing social media interactions.

After completing her graduate degree at MIT in 2020, Mendler embarked on a Ph.D. journey with MIT's Center for Constructive Communications and Social Machines group. Concurrently, she pursued a JD from Harvard Law School, where she held leadership roles in the Harvard Space Law Society.

Mendler's passion for space law was ignited during her tenure at the Federal Communications Commission's Space Bureau in 2022. She highlighted the challenges of data transmission to and from space, emphasizing the complexities despite advancements in space technology.

Prior to her current endeavors, Mendler achieved success in the music industry with the release of two studio albums during her Disney days, featuring hit singles like 'Ready or Not' and 'Hurricane.' Her diverse career trajectory showcases her commitment to innovation and making a positive impact in various fields.
