Former Corrie star unrecognisable from her character in glam snaps

Former Coronation Street star Paula Lane looked a far cry from her Weatherfield character as she posed backstage in panto.

The Corrie favourite, who played feisty Kylie Platt in the soap, is currently appearing in the pantomime Sleeping Beauty and is regularly updating her social media followers.

Sharing snaps from her dressing room, Paula smiled for the camera as she applied ultra-glam makeup.

Paula, 35, played Kylie from 2010 to 2016.

Her character had a tragic departure from the ITV soap when Kylie was stabbed to death outside the kebab shop by Clayton Hibbs after buying champagne to celebrate a new start for her family in Barbados with her half sister Becky McDonald.

After Corrie she played the role of Rachel in Be More Martyn, a celebration of the life of Corrie superfan Martyn Hett, at Southwark Playhouse.

She played Lily in The Bengal Lily at Manchester Royal Exchange and Lauren in the UK tour of Kinky Boots.

Paula and her fellow actor husband Tom Shaw married in 2014 and they are parents to two children Arthur, born in December 2014, and Penny Grace, born in 2017.

Tom also appeared in Coronation Street in April and June 2017 as Kim Vaughan, a friend of Fiz Stape.
