Ryan Thomas has admitted to 'hating himself' for drinking two bottles of wine a night.
The former Coronation Street actor was speaking on his podcast Mancs on the Mic with twin brothers Adam and Scott.
The trio were speaking about their health and wellbeing for this week's show when Ryan began discussing his drinking habits.
He admitted to trying to find "any excuse" to have a drink despite work and family commitments with fiancé Lucy Mecklenburgh and young son Roman and daughter Scarlett, 12.
"I'm literally just finding any excuse to have a drink," Ryan said.
"It's like, everything's all or nothing, so it’s not even like I have a couple of drinks."
The 36-year-old added: "I'll have two bottles of red wine and I'm like, 'Why?' I've got to get up tomorrow and I've got a routine with Roman and with Lucy and I've got commitments and I've got jobs coming up that I need to be focused for.
"I've got to go, 'Right, here's my end goal, I deserve to have this drink. It's my treat, it's my reward,' and that's what I want it to become.
"And at the moment, I'm still tackling it like it comes to the weekend and it just wipes me out for the whole week."
Ryan said: "It's just a constant battle man, and I hate it, I hate myself for it."
