Former Corrie star Faye Brookes sparks concern by sharing about going through 'lifequakes'

Former Coronation Street actress Faye Brookes received a raft of support after opening up to her followers on Instagram.

Faye, who played Kate Connor in the soap, took to social media to reflect on facing three life-changing events over the past three months which she described as 'lifequakes.'

The Stretford-born star sparked concern after she typed 'you never know what people are going through.'

She wrote: "RT and it’s about Lifequakes…"

And she added: "Yes it’s a real word."

Faye, who is currently playing the iconic role of Roxie Hart in the Chicago UK tour, explained: "Lifequake. Definition; An event that suddenly changes your life – a car accident, a terrible illness, or losing a loved one – in the same dramatic way that an earthquake might destroy a building.

"Well … here’s the truth of it all.

"I have faced around three Lifequakes in less than three months and apparently it takes a good 6 months to get over just one…

"You never know what people are going through."

She continued: "So for anyone who is going through some sort of struggle, a difficult time, feeling like their climbing a constant uphill battle… Give yourself time. Allow yourself to feel, Know that it will be okay.

"It might not be right now. But it will be. Eventually."

And she signed off by saying: "Until then, be kind, give others grace, have faith and stay true to you."

As messages poured in from well-wishers Faye said: "This post isn't for attention."

Fellow Corrie favourite Helen Flanagan said: "Hope your okay darling x"

And Victoria Ekanoye, who played Angie Appleton in the soap, told her "Here" with a love heart emoji.

Instagram follower sophie_matton hailed her post as inspirational.

They said: "I love inspirational posts like this I feel that they're a great way to pick people up who may be going through a difficult and they show people that they're not alone and that there is always someone there to love/listen/provide support."

And gino_speedmaster1969 said: "True words.. Hope you are ok xx"

The following day Faye, 34, who played Kate in Corrie from 2015 to 2019, described her partner Joe Davies as her 'rock' while sharing a loved-up snap of the smitten couple.
