It was a girl's night out for former Corrie star Victoria Ekanoye as she headed out on the town with friends after her heartbreaking breast cancer diagnosis.

Victoria, who played Angie Appleton in Coronation Street, was all smiles as she was joined by model Rhian Sudden and Amy Anzel who is about to appear on the hit BBC series The Apprentice.

The trio enjoyed a night out at Australasia in Manchester after new mum Victoria, 39, opened up about her health battle.

She discovered a lump while breastfeeding her baby son Theo and visited three separate doctors to get a diagnosis after having a 'gut feeling' that something wasn't right.

She will have a double mastectomy and reconstruction after being diagnosed on October 13 with DCIS - ductal carcinoma in situ - which means that cells within the milk ducts have turned cancerous.

Last week Victoria moved the panel on the ITV chat show Loose Women to tears as she introduced them to Theo.

She asked: "How can I not do everything I can in my power to be here for him?

"We'll do everything we can to give him the best life."

New York entrepreneur Amy, 47, first appeared on the first series of The Bachelor in 2002 in the hunt for a husband on the US reality series in which a bachelor dates a group of women over several weeks.

Amy, the founder of Hollywood Browzer Beauty which specialises in dermaplaning tools, crowdfunded a musical version of US comedy series Happy Days, raising £250,000 from 345 investors in just six weeks.

Now living in London the former actress and producer is among the new batch of candidates bidding to be hired in series 16 of the Lord Alan Sugar's business reality show which is due to be screened early next year, revealed The Sun.
