Former Clyde coach managing in Sweden eyes up East Kilbride Lowland League switch

Former Clyde coach Tony McNally says he would be interested in taking on the top job at East Kilbride.

McNally is currently head coach at Ytterhogdal FC in the Swedish fourth tier but admits he would consider swapping life in the rural village for K-Park.

The Lowland League club are inviting applications for the position that has been left vacant since gaffer Stuart Malcolm left for League One outfit Forfar.

McNally said he was interested in the Kilby job having previously applied for the role at the Lowland League side, as David Proctor and Craig Malcolm take on the role on an interim basis.

The Scot is currently in pre-season with the Division Two Norrland outfit but is expected to take in a game when he returns to Scotland.

The Swedes do not start their regular league season until April.

McNally has notably worked as assistant at Annan, Dumbarton and the Bully Wee.

He said: “I have ambitions to come back to Scotland if I was asked and it was right.”
