Former Chelsea star Oscar seals first Chinese Super League title with Shanghai SIPG

Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar has landed his first piece of silverware since a surprise move to Asia as Shanghai SIPG sealed the Chinese Super League title.

Shanghai, who also boast fellow Brazilian Hulk and former Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho among their ranks, secured the title with two games to spare, ending a seven year run of Guangzhou Evergrande dominance in CSL.

Oscar joined the Chinese for £52million in December 2016 and has scored 12 and set up 18 in 28 appearances in the title winning season.

The 27-year-old, who won two Premier League titles, the Europa League and a League Cup in England said: "This has been one of the most difficult titles to win. I look back with great pride."

Agent Kia Joorabchian added: "People questioned why Oscar wanted to come to China from Europe but he has been treated very well and is extremely happy. This success in the result of that."
