Former Chelsea star Joe Cole trolls Arsenal and Manchester United with brilliant FA Cup put down

Joe Cole nailed his colours firmly to the Chelsea mast on Saturday evening.

The former West Ham and Chelsea ace was a guest on BT Sport's FA Cup Tonight show following live coverage of the fourth round clash between Hull City and Chelsea at the KCOM Stadium.

Chelsea won the game 2-1 thanks to goals from Michy Batshuayi and Fikayo Tomori, although they were given a late scare by a deflected Kamil Grosicki free-kick.

Also in the BT Sport studio was former Hull star David Meyler, who was part of the Tigers' side that got all the way to the FA Cup final in 2014.

Hull almost pulled off one of the biggest cup final upsets of all time as they led 2-0 at Wembley, only to see the Gunners come back and win 3-2.

And that cup final was the subject of much discussion in the studio following the match at the KCOM.

And Meyler made reference to the fact that he had noticed Arsenal players with their "laces undone" in the tunnel ahead of kick-off, which gave Hull the boost they needed to start the game on the front foot - thinking Arsenal were not taking it seriously and expecting to win no matter what.

But when Meyler suggested that Arsenal "were used to it" in terms of winning trophies, Cole brutally trolled the Gunners by jumping in: "Hold on, it's Arsenal, they weren't that used to it!

"They [Hull] were 2-0 up, I was loving it!"

Cole was not exactly wrong, with that FA Cup triumph their first trophy in nine years.

And Cole was not finished there. He went on to troll Manchester United too ahead of their FA Cup clash away at Tranmere Rovers on Sunday.

Cole added: "That attitude in the FA Cup is why we have shocks and I hope Man United turn up like that tomorrow!"
