Former Chelsea star Chris Sutton makes stunning Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool transfer claim

What does the future hold for Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe?

The 21-year-old is one of the biggest stars in world football and is sure to be linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes in the coming transfer windows.

That speculation will only ramp up after the weekend's 5-0 win over Montpellier when Mbappe scored, but was substituted.

Mbappe was not happy to be hauled off and was involved in a long and heated discussion with manager Thomas Tuchel on the touchline before he sat down on the bench.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Mbappe before, although there is sure to be competition from the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid in La Liga when Mbappe does think of moving on.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes all the top players will want to go to Anfield this summer, rather than anywhere else in the Premier League, suggesting the rest of the big six might struggle to lure the best players.

Speaking on Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club, Wright said: "I'd probably want to go to Liverpool right now, any player in the world."

But fellow pundit Chris Sutton is not sure where he fits in at Liverpool and made a stunning claim about arriving at Anfield in response to Wright's comments.

The former Chelsea man said: "He wouldn't get in the Liverpool team just at the moment.

"Who would he get in instead of? Who does he play instead of?"

Wright countered that it was up to manager Jurgen Klopp to decide that.

He said: "If you are going for world dominance, which Liverpool are doing now and that player comes available you've got to be interested in that, you've got to be.

"That's not for me to say [who he plays instead of] simply because you're just putting another great player in your squad, it's up to Jurgen Klopp who he plays instead of."
