Chelsea are getting closer and closer towards getting a deal over the line for Kai Havertz.
football.london understands that the Blues are set to meet Bayer Leverkusen's £90million valuation with some of the deal being paid for in add-ons.
The west London outfit are now looking to get the agreement finalised and press ahead with adding the Germany international to their squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Once a deal is done, Havertz could be one of four new faces at Stamford Bridge this week.
Reports claim that Thiago Silva is set to join on a free transfer following his release from Paris Saint-Germain, Malang Sarr is also being heavily linked and the club are putting the finishing touches to Ben Chilwell's £50m transfer.
But the signing of Havertz will certainly excite the fanbase - and apparently those with strong connections to the club.
With a deal appearing to be close, former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel - now at Stoke City - has taken to social media to deliver his verdict on the transfer.
On Instagram, the account @433 posted a picture of Havertz in a Chelsea kit with the caption: '@kaihavertz29’s move to @chelseafc is expected to be completed in the coming hours! (per @fabriziorom).
And the aforementioned Mikel has seemingly given his approval to the deal, by liking the picture.

However, reports that an initial £72 million fee with add-ons of £18 million has been agreed might be premature.
Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller's reaction to the news was simply to tell SID: "That's nonsense!"
What is for certain is how Blues boss Lampard can get the best out of 21-year-old.
"I would say the No.8 position, inside right," Havertz said in an interview with Marca last November. "I'm not a classic No.10, but I like to have the ball at my feet, simply enjoying myself on the pitch.
"I've played in many other positions, but I prefer to play in the centre, where I have more of the ball. My dream will always be to wear the No.10 one day at my club."
