Former Chelsea player Tony Cascarino has provided a bizarre comparison of Jack Grealish and Mesut Ozil ahead of the Championship play-off final.
Grealish's Aston Villa take on Derby County at Wembley on Monday aiming to earn promotion to the Premier League and sides around the top tier will be taking note.
The midfielder could leave Villa this summer, especially if they fail to win the match, with Cascarino explaining that he could play for any of the top six. Tottenham have been closely linked to the midfielder after tracking the midfielder for most of last summer.
But Cascarino went further by suggesting that Grealish is even better than Arsenal playmaker Ozil. Whilst Arsenal fans know they haven't got the best out of the midfielder in the last couple of seasons, this is quite a stretch as the quotes below show.
"Jack Grealish could easily be the difference in the Championship Play-Off final," Cascarino told Betdaq. "I’ve always felt he’s a Premier League player and I don’t think he’d be out of place at a top-six club.
"You look at the likes of Mesut Ozil at Arsenal and in all honesty, I’d rather have Jack in my team! You might think I’m crazy, but he affects games much more than Ozil does.
"Let’s not get ahead of ourselves as he’s still only playing in the Championship, but I have no doubt that he has the ability to make a serious impact in England’s top-tier.
"If Villa don’t get past Derby, I’m sure Jack will want to move on as he needs to be playing in the Premier League. Plenty of clubs will have their eyes on him and Villa will surely struggle to keep hold of him."
