Former Chelsea defender on the 'clear edge' the Blues have over Arsenal in Europa League final

Chelsea take on Arsenal in Baku tonight for the Europa League trophy and former Blues' defender Wayne Bridge has provided his verdict.

The ex-Chelsea left-back has spoken of his belief that his old side have the clear advantage ahead of the final against the Gunners.

The pressure is off of Chelsea somewhat due to the fact that they have already booked a place in next year's Champions League, though lifting the Europa League prize is still a huge honour.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have to win the match to guarantee Champions League football for next season.

But despite the extra incentive for Arsenal, Bridge says it's Chelsea's Cup-final experience which will shine through.

“I think Chelsea will win but it’s going to be a really tight game. They show up in finals - they played really well against City. They defended well, created chances," Bridge explained.

“They know how to win finals, so they’ve definitely got a chance. It could be (Eden) Hazard’s last game for the club and he will want to go out on a high.

"He’s been tremendous and I don’t know how they will replace him. It’s a massive dent in the squad.”

Bridge's viewpoint is shared by most bookies as well, with Chelsea slight favourites ahead of Unai Emery's Arsenal side.
