Former CEO of Console Paul Kelly found dead at his Kildare home

The former CEO of suicide helpline Console has been found dead at his home.

The body of Paul Kelly, 62, was discovered at his house at Alexandra Manor, Clane, Co Kildare on Sunday night.

It's understood his body was removed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital where a postmortem will take place.

Gardai confirmed to the Irish Mirror they attended the scene where a man, in his 60s, was found dead in Clane.

A spokesman said: "This incident is being treated as a personal tragedy."

Console provided services including a 24/7 suicide helpline, a suicide bereavement liaison service and a bereavement counselling service - before it was liquidated in 2016.
